Colour The Sky Edinburgh 2015

In July 2015, Pop Up! Scotland invited the Edinburgh community to be a part of a special performance art event.

Participants gathered by the Pavillon café from 5pm, laying down blankets and firing up BBQs while basking in the sunshine and soaking up all that was on offer.

The evening was a phenomenal success, and a brilliant example of what Pop Up! Scotland does best.

Local artists, independent businesses and local residents came together on the Meadows at 5pm and became creatives for a night, armed with a single bio-degradable balloon.

This unique evening featured incredible music from local DJ heroes Hector's House and Lezure, swing dancing, free sewing and craft workshops run by Say It Ain't Sew and donation-based open air yoga classes. A vibrant selection of some of Edinburgh’s best independent retailers were also there in the ‘Love from Indie Street’ (http://www.lovefromindiestreet.com/) pop-up shop, with more handmade candles, jewellery, art, clothes, handbags and artisan chocolate than you could shake a stick at.
