Pub Craft Club is a fun creative event that runs weekly in Edinburgh and surrounding areas at a variety of venues. Each workshop is two hours and allows the public to come in after work and try a new skill, enjoy a drink, make new friends, and get creative. It’s a whole lot of fun and we’d love you to join us.
We are looking for enthusiastic creatives who are comfortable engaging with the public to expand our creative portfolio. Workshops can be fine art based or craft focused as long as the program is fun, creative, and engaging. We are open to working with all materials and media as long as it fits in a two hours setting in a pub. Currently workshops are based only in Edinburgh but we are looking to expand to other cities in Scotland.
Workshop leaders will be paid £15-25/hr for 2 hour workshop for a total of £30-50. Artists generally run one workshop per month. Material costs will be covered but a budget must be approved before the workshop (maximum £25). Any specialised equipment or tools will need to be provided by the instructor unless it is something Pop Up! Scotland already has on hand. Feel free to get in touch to discuss things more specifically.
Workshops will consist of up 5-15 members of the public with varying degrees of experience in the different areas. A member of the Pop Up! Scotland team will be on hand to check people in, offer assistance where necessary, and participate in the workshop. You can see examples of past workshops here: https://www.facebook.com/PopUpScotland/events/
