Pop Up! Scotland is a community interest company that believes art is for everyone and we organise exhibitions, events and workshops in pop up locations around Scotland. We want to create new opportunities for artist to show their work out of the traditional spaces and we want to reach out to groups that don’t have the opportunity to experience the arts.
Our Director of Programming and Public Engagement, who is currently on maternity leave but finds it difficult to stop working completely is needing an assistant to help with various tasks to create a program of workshops for spring and summer.
Main duties:
- Researching
- Contacting workshop locations
- Scout new talent to run workshops
- Marketing
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills who would like to gain experience within art administration. You need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as a part of a team with a can do attitude.
In return you will get hands on experience in developing and coordinating a program of workshops and chance to develop relationships with other creative organisations.
The role is on a voluntary basis, 1-3 hours a week + meetings.
