For Exhibitors

Exhibition space cannot be sub-let without the prior approval of Pop Up! Scotland (the organisers of The Great Scottish Make Off).

It is a condition of exhibiting that the exhibitor will keep the organisers indemnified in respect of any loss or damage caused by the exhibitor or his servants to the organisers or third parties. The exhibitor will accept all risks of every kind whether to persons or property and make good any damage.

Should The Great Scottish Make Off be abandoned through war, fire or any other cause, the organisers shall not be liable in any way and shall be entitled to retain all sums paid by the exhibitor.

The organisers reserve the right to restrict the display, demonstration or the running of mechanical, electronic or other equipment when the organisers consider it to be a nuisance to other exhibitors. This includes such equipment as loudspeakers, microphones, amplifiers, musical instruments, etc.

Notwithstanding anything in these Terms and Conditions, the exhibitor shall in every respect comply with all relevant regulations issued by the Local Authority, the Fire Authority, the Police and the Landlords of the premises on which The Great Scottish Make Off shall take place.

All exhibitors should have public liability insurance for no less than £1,000,000.

Exhibitors must keep their stands open and attended by knowledgeable staff throughout the period of the event including any previews.

Exhibitors must not display goods of an inflammable, noxious or obscene nature. The organiser reserves the right to remove any such unsuitable material from the show.

All the exhibitor’s lighting and electrical appliance must be PAT tested. Any lighting or electrical appliance not supplied by the organiser’s electrical contractor must be approved by the contractor before installation. PAT testing certificates must be shown.

The organiser accepts no liability for loss or damage to exhibitors’ work, either during the event or during setting-up or dismantling. Insurance is the responsibility of the individual exhibitor and exhibitors are expected to ensure they are covered for all eventualities including public liability. Exhibitors cannot store any merchandise or equipment at the venue without express permission of the organiser. The organiser will not be liable for any loss or damage as a result of

Payment in full from the exhibitor, in respect of all fees and charges as invoiced, must be received by the organiser before the show. The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to exhibitors who have not made such payments, either in full or in part.

Any exhibitor withdrawing from the event after space is allocated will be liable to pay up to 50% of their stand fees. Any exhibitor who withdraws within 7 days of the start of the show will be liable for the total costs of the stand.

The organiser reserves the right to withdraw the offer of space and services from any exhibitor owing monies to the show on any account.

Whilst the organiser takes every effort to ensure that exhibitors’ details are correct in the promotional material for The Great Scottish Make Off, the organiser cannot accept responsibility for any errors appearing therein. The organiser shall have no liability to exhibitors for any claims resulting from such errors.

All exhibitors must clearly display their parking permit in the windscreen of their vehicle upon arrival on site.

On street parking is available near the venue for Exhibitors, but parking and unloading space cannot be guaranteed.

All pitches, exhibiting space and tent areas are to be cleared after use and left as found, cleared of all rubbish. Any broken glass found will exclude exhibitors from future shows.

In supplying images for use on The Great Scottish Make Off website you are declaring that you are the creator of the work depicted, and hold the copyright of both the work and the images.

Furthermore, you are granting permission to The Great Scottish Make Off to use those images not only on your personal page on the website but also on other pages on the website, and for promotional and advertising purposes in connection with the show(s).

We undertake not to sell or redistribute any images supplied, and to provide attribution to any images used where practical. We cannot, however, accept responsibility for the unauthorised use of any images copied from the website by third parties.
