Open Call: UN*DEPENDENCE

UN*DEPENDENCE Film Festival is organised by the social enterprise Pop Up Scotland. Inspired by the creative energy that sprung across Scotland over the last year, festival team went looking within and beyond the Scottish borders for stories about change, dependency and identity, and have gathered an entertaining and thought provoking selection of independent films from all over the world. The second edition of UN*DEPENDENCE Film Festival will be located in a few artistic venues in Glasgow from 23rd to 26th of July 2015.

We strive to create a unique platform, networking local communities on the basis of reciprocal exchange, which needn’t to be monetary and can be driven by passion, curiosity, and, especially by a constant need of affiliation. We believe the film screenings would create a unique context within which organising artistic workshops, discussions, and debates makes even more sense, as we aim to bring people closer to participate in art.

If only you would like to join us by organising workshops or any other activity suitable for our audience, share it with us before 7th of June. Although it’s a film festival, please dare to think further, and look for inspirations in our mission statement, as well as in the film programme, which can be found on the UN*DEPENDENCE Website (undependence.co.uk).

Please send brief descriptions of creative ideas including space requirements by e-mail to karolina@popupscotland.org. We will contact everyone individually to discuss the opportunities of cooperation.
